Chris Karis

In his role as Research Analyst with WestGroup Research in Phoenix, Chris Karis works directly with project directors and principals in the design, administration, analysis and reporting of research. Chris consults with clients, designs questionnaires / study outlines, interacts with field personnel, moderates focus groups, analyzes data and develops final reports. Chris is currently a member of the Phoenix Chapter of the American Marketing Association and on the Board of Triple R Behavioral Health (trbh.org) which is a non-profit organization offering services to the mentally ill in Maricopa County.

Prior to joining WestGroup, Chris was president of Market Verdicts, a Phoenix-based research firm. He honed his research skills working as an analyst for Arizona-based market research firms and ad agencies. A past president of the Southwest Chapter of the Market Research Association, Chris has conducted dozens of focus groups and led research for business, governmental, special interest, entrepreneurial and political-based clientele.

Since 1977, Chris has been analyzing and reporting on market research projects. He began his analytical career with Communicus, Inc., an advertising and packaging research firm in Los Angeles. While at Communicus, Chris headed projects for numerous national and international firms including the American Gas Association, Chevrolet, Coca Cola, Seagram's, Shell Oil, and the Tobacco Institute.

A graduate of Arizona State University, Chris holds a BS degree in Advertising. He spent much of his college years working as an interviewer and supervisor for Quality Controlled Services and Angeletti Market Research.

On the lighter side: In addition to being an avid disc golf player, Chris is a fanatical Fantasy Baseball enthusiast. Chris "owns" two fantasy baseball teams and his team "the Catatonics" has won first place in a 25-team division national competition for the last two years. The Catatonics are currently in the lead for his league for the 2000 season, as well. As of our press date, his team is in 194th place out of 9,650 teams!
